At PC Traders we pride ourselves on supplying quality refurbished Ex-lease IT products, support and services to our customers. Should you feel the item you have purchased is not operating as it should or is defective, please do contact us right away, we are more than happy to help and resolve any issue quickly and effectively.

During our refurbishment process - the trained technicians at PC Traders rigorously test and evaluate each ex-lease product to ensure correct working order along with overall great condition, in alignment with PC Trader’s mission to provide only the best Ex-lease/refurbished IT Equipment available in New Zealand. Unless otherwise stated all products are supplied with our industry leading 12-Month, Hardware only, return to base warranty (RTB). This warranty is effective from the date of purchase only as detailed on your invoice/receipt.

Warranty claims - must be made within the warranty period and any repairs effected during that time unless agreed to by PC Traders. Please do contact us as soon as you feel an issue has arisen.Like any other retail outlet, should a fault arise with an item purchased from PC Traders the original purchaser/customer is required to return the item to our premises at the customers cost. If an item is required to be shipped back to PC Traders under warranty you will need to contact us on (09) 215 9892 or via email – support@pctraders.co.nz to obtain an “RA” Number, Or Return of Asset number. PC Traders will not accept any returns without being contacted first and an RA Number provided. We at PC Traders will carry out any repairs in a quick and efficient time frame; our RA Turnaround time is typically 3 - 7 Business days from receiving an item into our warehouse, unless otherwise stated to you or if additional parts are required to effect the repair. Once repairs are completed PC Traders will then courier the item back to you, our customer, using our standard courier service .

12-Month RTB Hardware Warranty - covers repair or hardware/components sold by PC Traders Only. It does not cover software faults or corrupted file systems due to Operating System upgrades/updates or software configuration errors.Any changes to hardware/software configuration and added components not installed by PC Traders will void warranty and no warranty service will be provided. Acts of misuse, accidental or deliberate damage, or foreign objects/substances entering the item will void warranty and no service will be provided.

Software products - purchased are not covered by our warranty; this includes the Microsoft office packages and Microsoft Windows Products. Any defects due to workmanship in installing and setting up software packages will be remedied by PC Traders under warranty., however errors or failure of the Operating system or software packages due to customer negligence, viruses, malware, or tampering will not be covered. Software purchases can't be returned for a refund!

Consumable items - are not covered by warranty e.g. Projector Lamps, Batteries and Toner / Ink. Battery issues or any problem relating to battery charge time, how long a battery lasts for under use or any other issues  with batteries are not covered. Batteries are second hand when sold unless the item is specifically sold as a brand new item, in which case, 12-month warranty applies covering manufacturing defects only. Life of Battery is relevant to how it is treated.

Non-Defective items & returns - Because we sell a combination of new, used, refurbished and open-box products it is important that you choose your item carefully. If an item is faulty on arrival or damaged in transit, you must notify us within SEVEN DAYS. We will ask that the goods be returned to us and a replacement will be provided following an assessment of the goods.

Please note - We do not have to give a refund if you change your mind about a purchase so please choose carefully. If the product is faulty, we will provide a remedy as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act. Order cancellations - Once an order is made, if a cancellation is requested, there will be a 30% restocking fee + $25.00 admin fee charged to complete the process

For your peace of mind we have now added a 30 Day Exchange Policy.
If you feel the item is not right for your requirements and you have made a mistake with your purchase you now have 30 days from receiving your order to exchange the item(s) for another or receive a store credit. Products need to be retuned in their original condition and shipped at the customers expense. A $25.00 admin fee will apply. Please note certain products & services including Software, Repair Services, Custom Build PCs, Freight Charges can not be exchanged or refunded.
